Fearless Falcons’ innings got off to a decent start with Sumit Kamal and Abhishek Tripathi scoring 14 and 22 runs respectively. However, it was the captain, Saurabh Singh, who anchored the innings with a solid knock of 27 runs off 28 balls, including 3 fours and 1 six. Ashwani Singh’s explosive innings of 40 runs off 22 balls, featuring four boundaries and three sixes, added crucial runs to the scoreboard. Knight Scorchers’ bowlers, especially Somil Mishra and Rahul Awasthi, were exceptional, taking 3 wickets each. Somil Mishra proved to be the most economical bowler, conceding just 16 runs in his 4 overs while picking up 3 crucial wickets.
In response, Knight Scorchers’ openers, Vipin Kumar and Deepanshu Mishra, formed a formidable partnership of 69 runs. Vipin Kumar scored 21 runs off 16 balls, while Deepanshu Mishra, the captain of Knight Scorchers, played a blistering innings, smashing 45 runs off just 23 balls. Gaurav Verma’s brilliant knock of 50 runs off 31 balls, supported by Kartike Pandey’s contribution of 29 runs off 18 balls, ensured Knight Scorchers chased down the target of 177 runs in just 16 overs.
Fearless Falcons’ bowlers, Ravish Yadav and Shailendra, managed to pick up 2 and 1 wicket respectively, but it wasn’t enough to stop Knight Scorchers’ batting onslaught.
With this victory, Knight Scorchers secured the second position on the points table, trailing behind Special Warriors. Fearless Falcons, on the other hand, find themselves at the bottom of the table.
