KKR becomes first team to win away game this season along with extending their unbeaten run at Chinnaswamy since 2015.
After winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer, KKR captain put RCB to bat first. Harshit Rana sent RCB captain to dugout in the last ball of 2nd over. Virat along with Green(33) added 65 in next 7 overs as later fell to Russell. Maxwell too added 28 off 19 and hung around for few overs before being dismissed by Naraine.
RCB posted a decent total of 182 with Kohli’s fighting 83 off 59 as he found tough to hit the cutters and slower ones in the middle.
In response, Sunil Narine, who was playing his 500th T20, and Phil Salt pretty much killed the game in powerplay itself. They came all guns blazing and took on RCB’s pacers, scoring 85 off powerplay.Mayank Dagar cleaned up Narine in 7th over, but the game was done and dusted and if it wasn’t, Venkatesh Iyer assured it to be over as he took the baton from Narine and hammered RCB’s bowlers to score 50 of just 30 balls. The men in purple outplayed RCB and continued their winning streak at Chinnaswamy as they comfortably chased 182 in just 16.5 overs.
