SS Cricket Academy, led by Captain Ghazi, claimed a comfortable victory against Roaring Lions in the second match of the Titan Cup. After winning the toss, Roaring Lions, under new captain Bilal Ahmad, chose to bowl first. SS Cricket Academy’s openers, Ghazi and Faizan, provided a solid start, scoring 40 runs in 3 overs. However, Faizan was caught at the boundary off Bilal’s delivery. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, SS Cricket Academy managed to post 177 runs in 19.4 overs, with Ghazi contributing significantly.
Rohit was the standout bowler for Roaring Lions, taking 4 wickets, while Bilal took 3 and Rajendra 1.
In reply, Roaring Lions had a disappointing batting performance, collapsing to 63 runs in 12.3 overs. Rohit was the only player to reach double figures with 15 runs. SS Cricket Academy’s Altamas took 5 wickets, and Captain Ghazi added 3 more to secure the win.
Mohd Ghazi was named Player of the Match for his all-round performance, Faizan earned the Super Striker of the Match for his quick 24 off 12 balls, and Rohit received the Catch of the Match award for his remarkable catch off his own bowling.
Roaring Lions need to bounce back to remain in contention for the Titan Trophy, while SS Cricket Academy aims to maintain their winning momentum. The next Titan Cup match is on June 3rd.
